Is it dangerous if you don't have enough oxygen in your blood?

My brother was going to have surgery but they wont do it now because he doesn't have enough oxygen in his blood. He has to see a lung doctor amd have tests done. Please keep him in your prayers. No wonder he's so tired and fell asleep at work

I worded that wrong I know its dangerous what I meant to say was is there anything that they can do to help him get more in his blood.

They put my FIL on oxygen 24/7 to get his up. I think they might be able to use certain medicines too. It will probably depend on what is causing his oxygen to be low. I'll pray for him.

He has the sleep apnea machine now. He said he has the sleep apnea test and he stopped breatheing 69 times and he also stopped breatheing for 17 breaths at a time He was going to have stomach bypass surgery today but the doctor wont do it now because he might not wake up after the surgery because of the amount of oxygen he's getting. I don't know if he'll get it now unless the lung doctor says its ok.

He sees the lung doctor Tuesday then he'll know if he can have the surgery. I hope he gets good news.

My oldest sis in law has emphysema, has had it for a several years. A couple of years ago she started smelling things and hearing things. She did say something to her doc but I don't guess they checked her oxygen levels. I forget what happened but she ended up in the hospital and there they found she wasn't getting enough oxygen in her blood. I know she has a oxygen machine at home but she only uses it when she needs to. Since she is getting the oxygen she needs in her blood, she has stopped smelling and hearing things.
I just thought it was strange how she was effected by it.

He has a high level of carbon dioxide built up in his body. The doctor told him not to go to sleep or even take a nap without the cpap machine being on him. I think thats what its called. He wants him to go on a strict diet and come back to see him in a month. I hope he gets it out of him, That almost took my husbands life in 2010. Its very dangerous. Please pray that he gets it out of him and keeps it out.

I found out tonight from my sister that part of his brain has been damaged from the lack of oxygen or the carbon dioxide. Apparently he's had the lack of oxygen in his blood or the carbon dioxide for a while. The doctor said its serious enough that he could pass away from it. Please keep praying for him that he'll get the oxygen he needs and get rid of the carbon dioxide and get his diabetes under control. I'm really worried about him. And to top it off he doesn't have insurance. I wish I had the money I'd pay for what he needs.
