OMG, Remember that woman who advertized about preserving your pet after it dies?

We thought it was morbid, etc. Well now they have a show about it on Animal Planet.

People taking their dead pets in to be stuffed. WHY??? I don't even like to see the fake animals they sell in the stores, the little cats and dogs and I don't think they are even real or had once been a real animal.

They pose them in positions that are cute but they stay that way forever. They talk to them like they are real. EEK.

I saw that show, and couldn't believe how people wanted their pets preserved like that. There are so many other good things to spend your money on.

Ewwww...(sounds as creepy as having great-granny stuffed and put in a corner in a rocking chair) and there was a show on TLC (I Cloned My Pet) where folks have their pets cloned and they seem to expect their pets to know them and their surroundings. Strange.

Dont get me wrong I love my furbabies but there is no way on earth I would have them stuffed! Now I may get them cremated if it isn't really expensive but, really, it is my memories of waking up with all 4 cats sleeping on top of me that I will cherish. Right now I have one sitting in my lap & one right next to me.
Insanity is hereditary. You get it from your kids.

And I am jealous! It is such a sweet feeling to have your kitty snuggled up next to you.

Reminds me of an episode of Friends where Joey's father is having an affair with a Pet Mortician. lol
Her and Chandler are sitting on the couch discussing different positions that people want their pets to be in.

One guy was a motorcyclist and he put his stuffed dog on the back and rode away. Guess that is where the dog rode when it was alive.

Can you imaging the looks he will get? Dude, you have a dead, stiff dog on the back of your motorcycle.

    Unhappy

My dh and I have been watching this show and I cannot not imagine doing that to my furbabies. I love them like they are my kids but in no way in H@LL do I want to have to look and them everyday and know they cannot not move and be alive!!
And the last show that the couple had three daughters and had two dogs stuffed together and when they picked up the dogs that were laying together and the little girl kept trying to pick the dogs up? I thinks it so stupid and foolish to have this done and around little kids because I don't kids they understand the animal is "dead".

When I was little we used to go visit a relative, I believe it was my Dad's aunt. They had their dog stuffed and it was laying in it's bed in the sunroom. Never thought too much about it.
A friend and I were just talking about this a few days ago because I was trying to decide what to do when my little guy goes. I want him to be buried with me when I go so I was planning on having him cremated. But now we are having second thoughts about the whole cremation process after researching it (alot) after my Mom passed. If there is any chance at all to go to Heaven or be brought back when Jesus returns it seems like the cremated wont. So I was discussing having him stuffed.
Then I watched "I cloned My Pet"... I cried through that whole show. I completly can understand it, but the only thing going through my mind was Pet Cemetary by Stephen King.
