Lunch sounds awesome & yes, it's at the deli. It tastes just like the stuff we use to get in at the nursing home where I worked & it was really good stuff. I had never heard of it before I worked there.
Be care of Berger's, those idiots really jacked up their prices since the flood & since BG's was wiped out. I can't wait until BG's reopens. I needed cherry tomoatoes the other day so I had no choice but to go to Berger's & of course they were all rotten in the middle of the pack. I spent 2.50 on 4 or 5 good cherry tomatoes.

Ok, then after Thanksgiving we will have to set up something. I had some homemade relish once at a ladies house I was at and really like it. But didn't know what they called it or where to find it. So I will have to try to run out to Bergers and get some. Thanks for the heads up on them upping there prices and poor produce. It's a shame they are taking advantage of people of putting their prices up. Any idea when BG's suppose to reopen?

Gravy? Heck, even I can make gravy, it's easy. Get the pan drippings from the bird or whatever meat you are cooking. Put flour and water in a jar, shake up, add to broth and let thicken and add seasonings. Stir to avoid clumps.
My nephew could make gravy and when he was in college his friends were amazed he could make it instead of buying it in a jar.

I'm good with turkey once a year, if my kids didn't love it, would be zero times a year lol

I'm trying to figure out who lives the closest so I can come over and eat.... HAHA~
My birthday falls on Thanksgiving this year and I really want the day off. If mom is up to getting out we are going out to eat. If not I will get some "to go" from somewhere for everyone and that will be it. Then if it isnt snowing out, I am going to hop on my harley and go for a ride!

It is something that sound weird ... but tastes incrediable. I fell in love with it working for a caterier and begged for the recipe. When I looked at it I was SURE he was playing a joke on me ... but it really is the thing ( Many caterers and chefs are reluctant to "share" recipes, they will often leave out a critical ingredient so when you try to make it... it doesn't come out "quite right". )

I am in South Louisiana... c'mon... we have so many over no one would notice any "extras". We usually have a few guests - friends and associates who have no nearby family. I had a co worker that was from NC and unable to "go home"... planned on a Shoney's meal.... "Oh NO !" We just add another plate.
