Yeah... they never ask me to cook anything... but I'm responsible for pickles and olives as well as all the paper plates and plastic wear, styrofoam cups. I would love to cook a dish, but they gave me the green bean casserole one year... which no one ate because no one EVER eats it... so they decided I wasn't a good enough cook. So, I bring all the paper crap and help pay for the honey baked ham.

I use to volunteer at work to work Christmas so the other cook could spend Christmas with her family since I don't celebrate it. I use to get double time & a half!

I am the "I'll bring the rolls from walmart" type of person. I hate to cook but my hubby makes up for it. He will bake some pies. He grew up in a large family--7 and they all knew how to cook and had to take turns. He also cooks the turkey if people are coming to our house.

We are going to a potluck at church tonight. I plan to open a can of bar-b-q beans since hubby is not at home. He won't like it but I'll just tell him to stop at the deli on the way if he wants to take more. They usually have a ton of food anyway.

It's a family, maybe they just take her how she is, isn't that what family does?

That may be true but it doesn't mean she isn't a controlling & rude pain in the ass. There's nothing wrong in identifying that, it's actually healthy for the family to do so.

Yes, I do love getting together for the Holidays with my family. We are all very close, everyone is easy going, food everyone usually brings either a dish, appetizer, dessert..drinks, whatever is needed. Most of the time I state what I'm bringing and it's normally a dessert, because I'm diabetic and make something I get to eat too! lol The kids run around and play, the adults all talk and laugh and it's nice to see everyone. This year, Thanksgiving is just me and my two kids, but we will be going to the family annual Christmas Eve party. Growing up we all got together often and I really miss those times!!

Ohhhh, growing up we had a few Holiday fights LMAO, but now, we laugh about them and they truely are great memories.

Thanksgiving, I cook and everyone comes, sometimes at different times, but it's always welcome and fun.

All my kids and their bf/gf's are comming here for Christmas, as they always do. My mom rule has always been, sleep over Christmas Eve, presents in the morning and lunch/dinner in the afternoon. They just know, like they say...I never ask them for anything, just this, so they do it lol

Laissez les bon temps rouler! Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.** a 4 day work week & sex slaves ~ I say Tyt for PRESIDENT! Not to be taken internally, literally or seriously ....Suki ebaynni IS THAT BETTER ?
