Anybody have a good sloppy joe recipe?

I used to just buy the sloppy joe mix in the envelope but they quit carrying it and I have a craving for them. Thanks if you do.

I don't know if a sloppy Joe would be considered as the same thing as hamburger BBQ but as soon as I get home I'll write up my recipe. It's quick, easy and I used to have this on my catering menu and it was always a hit. People are alwYs asking me for my BBQ.

I have a friend that puts 7Up in her sloppy joes. Don't you just need salt, pepper, onions, and katsup... for a twist some de mustard? or horsey radish?

It's getting harder to find, but I prefer the delmonte sloppy joe sauce in a can.

My hubby makes this. Brown hamburger with onions and peppers, adding ketchup, a little vinegar & sugar to taste. Let it cook down until it's the consistency you like. Serve.

Manwich has gotten pretty spicy over the years. I use to really like it but it is not as good anymore. Haven't tried the Hunts though.

Here's my recipe. I won't buy stuff from a can since it's too easy & a lot cheaper to make your own.

    2 pound hamburger

1/2 C diced green pepper (I don't put it in mine though)

    1 C diced onion

    2 TBS white vinegar

    2 teas yellow mustard

    2 TBS sugar

    2 TBS worchester sauce

    2 C ketsup

Brown the burger, onion & peppers. In a small bowl mix the vinegar, mustard, sugar & worchester sauce together. Add over drained meat, stir it all around. Add the ketsup last with salt & pepper to taste. Cover & simmer 30 minutes to 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
