I have the iTouch 4 and love it. I don't care about upgrading at this time. And I certainly don't want to spend $600 for it.

If you can't -- or don't want -- to shed that much money... then go w/ the iphone 4... the upgrades are fairly minimal considering the big whoop they're making about it. I did a lot of research before I got my i4 and I am not bothered at all by not having the new upgrades. Unless you use your phone as a second or third computer (which I'm assuming you don't since you are calling it the itouch phone... not being rude), it's likely you won't even know you didn't have them... not to mention the 4G is spotty almost every where in the country which makes it drain the crap out of your battery. The i4 will also be only about 100 bucks (with contract) since the new one has come out... a much better bargain... But that's just me and my opinion.

Hey Kelsey... since I went from a droid to the ip4 when I upgraded, I lost all of my apps and some of them I can't find for iphone... what are some of your favorites?

I have no idea why I called it the iTouch phone instead of iPhone.

    Anyway...some of my fav apps:

Hey Tell...it's like texting only you are talking back and forth...it's much easier when in a car...and safer too!
Around Me...it tells me where I can find stores, restaurants, gas stations, etc. around me.
Grocery IQ...great for making grocery lists...and the more you use it the less you actually have to input as your fav items are stored. Plus, you can sort by store.
U-Verse...allows me to set my DVR remotely if I've forgotten to record a show.
RedLaser...scans items and then tells you where the cheapest place is to buy that item.
Tipulator...calculates tips based on the percentage you choose...plus can divide the bill equally if there are multiple groups in the party.
Maps & Sigalert...I use them together to get directions and see how traffic is flowing. (I live in S. Calif and this is a really useful app.)
Password Wallet...great for keeping track of all your passwords

    Games I like:

    Air Penguin
    Angry Birds
    Cut the Rope
    Tiny Wings
    Fruit Ninja
    Bejeweled
    7 Words
    Let's Jump
    Words with Friends
    Hanging with Friends

    What are your favs?

I don't really have any favs yet... I haven't had it that long... that's why I've been asking everybody what I should get lol... actually, that's not true, I do have the facebook, E! online and the OK! apps cause I always want something to read when waiting for hubby in the car... I also use Shazam (or sound hound on droid) a lot, it will listen to any song and tell you what it is and who it's by, some lyrics and where to buy it... I'd be lost w/out it.

I am saying that my Daughter and myself get a upgrade in Febuary of 2012 and I am wobdering if they are going to still have the NEW I-Phones? you know they are realsing the one with the S on it for steve they are sold out as far as rexerving (which) I don't want to do just wondering if they will keep making any kind of the I-Phones? Daughter wants one in Feb 2012. Also does anyone know a link that could go to for the new FREE ypdates for the I-Phone they have out now? I just caught the tal end of it on the news today? My son has the I-Phone the first one already he got it in August thanks

To answer your question - yes they will have the Iphone4S available in February. They aren't going to stop making them and NOT have some version available. Not really sure the S is worth the extra money though. Have not seen any of my Apple Die Hard friends even talk about getting one. They released it a little too soon after the 4 so people still have it fresh in their mind how much that 4 cost when they got it. If there are updates go to apple.com and they should be there or just do a search of the news program's website to get the info they might have had.

I agree with SLance. I think they released this new version way too soon after the last release.

For me...this was totally a new service for me as I left Sprint and went to Verizon...so it did cost me. But, from what I understand from my son who had an iPhone and got an upgrade...he still had to pay big bucks for the new version. It is definitely different from when I was eligible for a new phone in the past. My new phones were always free...that included a Blackberry. But, with the iPhone...it definitely cost money...even with an upgrade.

    But...I don't care. I love my iPhone.

(And...Facebook is one of my Fav apps as well, even though I didn't list it above. There are some standard ones already on the phone. FB is one of those. The ones I listed are the ones I needed to add to my phone.)

Yeah if you have an upgrade available they usually don't apply to the iphones and if they do it is a very small amount compared to the $ 299.00 for a new phone with a 2 year service agreement. Also the rates for the iphone plans are over priced. The cheapest I have seen is my bosses wife and it is still over $ 90.00 per month.

Yes, they'll have them... and the S is NOT for Steve... none of us misunderstood you. It is not a special edition because he died, the phone was in the works way before he died... likely before the one brefore it was even released. I doubt it will be the last iphone either. It is called the 4GS because it is going to be a 4G phone instead of a 3G phone... hence why I said you wouldn't miss the updates... but whatever.

BTW, I just switched to the Iphone like 3 weeks ago... I was eligible for upgrade, the iphone not only qualified it only cost me 150. They've already said they'd go down even more now that the new one was released... so now they are going for 99... and our plan, w/ like 1500 minutes, two phones, unlimited txt and 2 gigs of internet per phone is only 140, it did not change or go up when I switched from droid to the iphone... I don't think that's too bad considering the plans we compared to.
