My son (16) and three of his friends (14, 15,16) were 'planking' at the lake on Friday. Pretty silly, but alot of things teenage boys do are

I've heard of them both and they do seem silly. But as posted earlier...there are worse things for our youth to do than this.

This was on the news here in houston a few weeks back...the kid was planking and went flat on his
face, broken nose, and orbital sockets! Have been watching the news for updates, but i can't remember which
channel it was on. I mean locally, or elsewhere on cable.
Sad.

You are supposed to lay down - not fall down. He hit pretty hard to do that kind of damage.
I know someone in Australia died when they fell off a hotel balcony and someone was hit by a train "planking" on railroad tracks... but I have a feeling recreational enhancements were involved.

Anything to get attention, too bad that one guy died though. If they don't block the sidewalk, etc. like that one guy or take risks who cares?
Remember phone booth stuffing and seeing how many people you could get into a small car? I think one person suffocated doing that but not sure. There is always the few kids who have to go to extremes with it.

First there was PLANKING, then came OWLING, and now it appears CONE-ING is the newest thing. I can't keep up anymore ....
A new sensation most likely started by Youtube. It involves the act of ordering an ice cream cone and grabbing it at the top (where the ice cream is) when the person hands it to you after purchase. It usually gets a good reaction from the employee.
coning : the act of buying a ice cream cone through a drive-through and grabbing it by the ice cream itself not the cone. (generally known as the new planking)
Noah went through the drive-thru at McDonalds' for a coning session to the workers disbelief!

Sounds alot like "Flocking" : we used to get a collection of pink plastic flamingos and put them in people's front yard.
