Download question?
Does anyone know where you can download music to the computter for free? The kids used to use limewire but you can no longer do it. I want to put them on the putter to make a cd for the car.

Nope it is illegal since it is a violation of the copyright laws which is why limewire got shut down.

4shared.com has some great music you can still download for free. Plus I have never gotten a virus from the site

For my music-loving friends, I have looked into several music streaming services and I have to say I'm pretty sold on MOG. Vast catalog with unlimited offline downloads, playlists, sharing, cloud streaming, and a "radio" mode similar to Pandora that I love. Plus, their mobile App offers all functions and they have a channel on Roku to stream to my TV.

Janelle, the Amazon songs are free, I've downloaded lots from them.
Any of the file sharing programs are bad news. Not to mention being illegal, they make your computer an open portal to virus and other bad things. I personally know 2 people (one was my ex whom I warned before he did it) and their computers got completely wiped out after downloading limewire. They both ended up having to get new computers.
Some of the music magazines, like SPIN, offer free downloads every month and those are legit. You can also go to here http://www.emusic.com/listen/#/2514?...34&PID=3500036 and get 20 free downloads.
