    Question of the Day :

If you went to a movie with a friend and it was lousy, would you leave before it was over?

    NO

Movies cost to much, I would stay and watch it. Maybe I would sleep? LOL I guess, unless my friend reeeallly wanted to leave.

Ditched a date? hmmmm, I havn't dated in a long time..... but, I have in the past though, just made up some kind of excuse why I couldn't go, can't remember what the excuse was, but I know I've done it before.

I have actually walked out on a movie - it was one of the worst... ever. Backstory : I am a HUGE fan of Highlander; love Christopher Lambert. Then they came out with the sequel where the writers were smoking pot, thru out the whole theory behind the first movie and made them space alien revolutionaries exiled to Earth. Then the Evil Bad Dude sent Heckle and Jeckle as assasins to hunt down the Immortals. Bad. Bad. Bad. But then the series came out and my hope was restored ... they went back to the orginal premise of the Highlander movie and it was all good. Then came the Highlander III movie ( Mario Pebbles must have needed $$$ really bad. ) The writers for this one were on CRACK. I could not beleive they were lifting whole sections of dialog from the first movie. I started predicted ... not only what was going to happen next... but what would be said. I finally got up and left. I complained to the manager. I didn't get my money back, but I got a free coke and popcorn to go.

Long story short .... I was set up on a blind date. ( mistake #1 ) He was rude to the waitress at the resteraunt ... IHop at that ... ( mistake #2 ) We went to his High School Reunion ... I think I was supposed to be "arm candy". He got me a drink and left me sitting alone against the wall.... for 45 minutes. I made small talk with an abandoned wife who didn't know anyone else... at that point she chose to return to her hotel room ... I called my sister to come get me. Never heard from him again.

But that wasn't the worst ....

Yes, I would and have. Regardless of the 'lousiness' and cost, I will not submit myself to further boredom. I could be at home or shopping or just visiting, rather than sitting there and griping.

I have never ditched a bad date, although it has been well over 40 years since I have been on a date. I've canceled last minute but never ditched.

Worst date - and the shortest on record - was another blind date that a friend talked me into with a guy I had never met... so he picks me up at my friends apartment and we go to leave with my friends following us in her car to meet us at the club. Once in the car he jacks up the volume so that the windows are about to pop from their ftames and my ears are about to bleed ( this was in the 80's and the Dawn of Cars That Go Boom" ) I asked him to turn down the radio so we can talk... he looks at me and says "No F---ing B-tch is going to F---ing tell me to F---ing turn down my F---ing tunes in my M-----F---ing Car!"

At this point he pulls up to the red light at the corner. I get out of the car ... walk to my friends car and get in .... DATE OVER.

We get to the club and he following me in yelling at me ( yeah - that helps ) calling me names and so forth ... I had the Bouncer - a friend - tell him forcably to leave, that the date was over.

    WORSE DATE E-V-E-R

My worst date? Lol, i was only i'd say around 16..dated a guy, just no sparks...met another guy, he was so sweet,
his parents invited me over to dinner to meet the family...they said their other son would be showing up shortly.
Well guess who walks in? The "no sparks" guy! They had different last names, different dads i guess...needless to
say, i was outta that door...not even a thank you to their most gracious mother! As i see it,...that was the most theatrical event of my life! Lmbo! Yes, something like this could only happen to me!

    Smiles.

ROFL!! OMG!! Not really, but kinda sorta funny! Now, at least. Holy crap, anger management, anyone?

I could just see someone trying to do that to me NOW. In my 20's, I would have been intimidated, but now. OMG, after I was done laughing my a$$ off at the guy, he'd better duck and cover!

I was 23 .... going thru a divorce ... I didn't get mad at the guy - I just immediately wrote him off. If you are going to start treating me like THAT in the first five minutes of the first date - when you should be trying to impress me - there is no hope. He kept trying to get my friend to "set" us back up... nope. Tried telling me I was "playing hard to get" ... dude - impossible "to get" was the case.

I wanted to leave druing Hangover 2. It was so packed, the woman next to me was eating Juubees & smacking her lips and sucking on her fingers, I wanted to vomit., them she kept leaning on me to where I finally had to tell her to move the F over. The movie wasn't bad, but the experience reinforced the fact that I shouldn't go to the theater anymore.

I ditched a date once at a club. I just wasn't into the guy & didn't want to tell him, so I just left with a friend.
