www.sparkpeople.com offers a meal planner and exercise tracker. You plug in your weight and what you want to weigh and it gives you your meals and exercises. I lost 65 lbs on it. It is completely free but you have to register. I wouldn't use any kind of pills because they are dangerous and can kill you. Good luck!

Use a diabetic meal planner. Diabetic meals are balanced, and low in sugar, carbs and calories. You can ask your doctor to refer you to a dietitian if your insurance will pay for it. At 180 pounds, according to how tall you are, you may be considered at risk for type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, etc. In that case insurance should pay for it. If not, there are some good resources online. A good place to start might be http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/diabetes-diet/DA00077.
Some days, it's not even worth chewing through the restraints.

The diabetic exchange diet is probably the easiest to follow. However, if you are not diabetic they will not refer you to a dietician and have it covered by your insurance. You might want to call your insurance company and find out what assistance they can offer. The suggestion about sparkpeople.com is a very good suggestion. If you prefer you can also join weight watchers on line. Please avoid pills since they do not teach you to change your eating habits - which is the real problem in the US - we don't understand what a real portion is. HTH
