    Great for you!
I quit for nearly 7 years, but the drive from Seattle to Tampa made me smoke again, just for something to do on that long trip.
I do plan on quitting again., I have the patch, just need to build up the will-power again.

Congrats I quit January 2000 and don't miss it one bit. Everyone thinks I quit on Jan 1 but I actually quit about the 20th when they went up by 25 cents a pack and I decided that I would rather keep the cash in my pocket than giving it to RJ Reynolds. Just remember it takes 21 days to break a habit. I wish you much luck in succeeding and hope you keep it up. You will also join a special group of "former smokers" who get to complain about others smoking.

Good for you! My dad quit smoking almost 21 years ago...just quit, cold turkey. I've never smoked, but I've heard countless people tell me how hard it is. Just keep going, one day at a time. Your family will thank you for it.

Quitting smoking is awesome! I quit 8 years ago after hubby came home after a triple bypass. I didn't want to be on the front porch smoking (we haven't smoked in the house since we painted and carpeted) while he was in the house wishing he could have a smoke. Turns out I never had another cigarette and he smokes cigars (blegh!) He does want to quit though. Actually I really think he wants to want to. I struggled with that myself well before I actually quit.

Keep up the good work, angelkitty!!

Keep up the good work Theresa. Take each day one at a time. And congratulate yourself at the end of each day too.
You should be proud of yourself. It's something you have to do alone and it's a hard habit to quit.

Good for you!!! I've never been a smoker, but I know enough to understand that a chemical addiction must be very hard to break. You deserve kudos for making it this far.

Keep coming back here whenever you need encouragement!!!

Way to go Theresa. I've never smoked, and hate the smell of it. I hope everyone quits smoking, it's a nasty habit.

At this point, I think I can join the 20 year + group and it's one of my best decisions made, and I was a 1 1/2 pack a day. Best of luck.
