I agree with so much that is being said. I sure would have liked that womans points from Kroger for gas though. They didnt mention anything aboutthe gas points. Even my son mentioned they are horders with so much stored in all those rooms. ANother thing I would have liked is a bunch of that toilet paper, now thats something I would love to get a deal on.

I'm a coupon whore, or so I thought until I saw this show. It give us "regular" couponers a bad name. I use coupons every time I go, well nine out of ten times I go grocery shopping. I do print alot and I do trade for coupons, I also go through all the sales adds. I can walk out with $300 and pay less then $20. I don't hoard and I don't buy things I don't use....like 30 jars of Ragu, they DO have expiration dates. My store doubles up to .99 cents.
The show, just shows us it's about people who are horders, not people who are saving money. Should be called Extreme Horders.

Down here I don't think they'd let you call friends or family right in front of them so you can get more discounts. They'd tell you that you fave to wait till you come back again. And I don't think they'd let you use so many coupons that the products were free either.

Every store I go to won't take the whole amount of the coupon off if it is for more than what the item is worth. If you buy something for .88 and have a $1.00 coupon, they'll only take off the .88.
As for the big packages of paper towels and toilet paper that these people said they got for free, how did they do that? I never see sales that great on them to get them free with the .25, .50 or rarely $1.00 coupons I get in my area.
WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, ONLY BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE

I'd like to know that too. Because the big packs of paper towels and toilet paper are high here. I dollar off wouldn't make a dent in their price. Even if they double or triple it thats only $2 or $3 off a pack and they cost way more than that.

Boy am I ever glad I'm not the only person who thinks a lot of this is looney train-city. That one couple has a $35,000 insurance policy on their coupon hoard. SMH! Do they figure that cost into everything? That one woman saying she doesn't spend time with her family because she would rather be couponing.
I'm with Bliss, I seldom use coupons. Normally you have to buy mulitples & I'm single so now way could I use 2 jars of mayo in a year. I really do think these items end up in flea markets.
Those big rolls of toilet paper or paper towels...here they go on sale for $6.99 WITH a $15 purchase without coupons.
Insanity is hereditary. You get it from your kids.

The thin that amazed me about the show is these people literally stockpile so much stuff. That's crazy. Granted I use coupons and look for the best deal, but to stockpile that way no way.
I was glad to see the one guy who donates to the food bank. It shows the worlds not all bad.

Yeah, I would like to know too. I have gotten Bounty and Brawney 12 packs on sale for $4.99 and used $1.00 off coupon that doubled. Never gotten it free.
Joanne, the Lima paper has some good coupons on Sunday's as does the Blade.
Oh, PMing you!

The hording reminded me of a couple on that show Trading spouses. One mom was a horder who called her self a couponer. One entire bathroom was filled with TP, paper towels, plastic silverware. They had like 4 or 5 kids and had to share a bathroom because the other was full. She couldn't even open the shower door, she climbed on the tiolet and threw the sh1t in there, that is just ridiculous.

I know for a fact that those little moths and bugs love anything with flour in it, so I can't imagine cereal lasting very long. On the first show, the woman said she had enough groceries to last for years. What is the purpose of using coupons like that if you are not going to eat the food you purchased?

I can see something like this if you have a family like the one on tv with 19 kids or maybe octomoms family. But a regular family would never eat or use all that stuff.
