Money
Life is very expensive. Just existing from one day to the next is expensive. Do you ever get really afraid that the money is gonna run out? Do you ever have sleepless nights because of money?
We are retired. I worry about what will happen to the one left when one of us dies. My husband can go into a VA nursing home if that should become neccessary although he says he doesn't want to ever go into a nursing home. For myself I wouldn't mind, but they are costly. Our little nest egg wouldn't last long. Do yall ever worry about things far off in the distance for some of you but not so far for some of us. But even not even about when we are old, when you are young you have financial worries too. I remember that well when we had 3 kids in school. Why do we worry about some things that we can't do anything about?

Well, my husband hasn't retired yet. We do have a 401K but I'm not going to say we will be rich by it. He is 59 so he has a few years until he retires. I have really never worked outside the home so I have nothing to add to the pot. I do worry when the time comes how long will the money get us through.

No, I don't worry about money. My husband's job is shaky but I know there is nothing I can do to change things so why worry about it? I figure what is going to be is going to be. God has always provided for me and I know he will continue to do so. (((buglebe))) I'm sorry you have worries.

We're both retired and our house and car are paid off. We live in a mobile home in a park so we don't have to worry about taxes. But, I occasionally am concerned that the SS will run out but I am not worried because I just cannot afford to worry about such things. It would drive me batty and would accomplish nothing. I mostly spend my money on food and the everyday bills, like utilities...necessities, etc. Our credit card doesn't have a high balance but not a low one either so we're trying to pay it off. I hate paying the interest!

I am just 41, and my husband is almost 43.
We are expecting next month. The thought of having children in school into our 60s is scary. But, Joe has worked since he was 14, so I know he will work doing something once he retires.
Do I worry... yes. But only due to my health. I have one kidney which is getting tanked by this pregnancy.
So our income may take a hard hit if I can not work the way I want to.
But, he will do whatever it takes for me to be ok. So we cut back and we live with what we need to do.
So hard, not to facepalm some people

I'm so sorry about your stress, money is such a big part of life, and I hate worrying about it all the time. I suggest you to read Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover book. Borrow it from the library and he will give you insights you never thought about. I worry about my finance all the time because we used to spend so much on materialistic items, and go get fast food when I did not want to cook. After reading his book, my family did a 180. We barely eat out, maybe once a week or two. When we do, we spend less than 20 for the family of four. I am 27 and I can tell you, if you want a better life in the future, you need to learn how to manage your money. I still worry about money, but now I know there is a way out of it. Hang in there.

I used to give an old man a ride sometimes, he was in his 90s and outlived his social security and his pension(s)....he had a paid off house, no car....and made pocket change recyling cans. I hope I never live that long, its tough!
Work like you don't need money, love like you've never been hurt, And dance like no one's watching

I know how you feel. We don't have any savings or retirement and just live on his disability. And lately with all the medical bills more is going out than is coming in. The bankruptcy hasn't helped us at all so far. I worry all the time.
