How often do you change your contacts?

If you have 2 week lenses do you change them every 2 weeks? I was doing that and then my sil said she wears hers for at least a month -- I'm a little chicken to fool around with my eyes was wondering what other experiences were

I don't have any personal knowledge of it but they did a report about it on my news and said it is dangerous to wear them for longer than recommended. That it can lead to a serious eye infection or even losing your sight. My daughter has RGP's and she takes them out and soaks them every night. I'd talk to my eye doctor before I did anything.

I wear mine for a month or so or until they are uncomfortable. I DO NOT sleep in them , though, so maybe that is why they are OK longer.

My eye doctor told me as long as they still felt comfortable, it was ok to wear them for up to a month. I don't sleep in mine though.

I've got an appt. to get new ones next week..YAY!
I am bad & leave them in longer than 2 weeks., sometimes 2 months & I sleep with them in.
I promise myself that when I get the new ones, I'll change'em every 2 weeks! I don't want anything happening to my eyesight.

I have the 3 month lenses and my eye doctor told me that I can wear them up to 6 months, but no longer. He said a lot of time the contact lens makers put the time length on there so you have to buy them more often. But if they are not bothering your eyes and you can see clear than going a couple extra weeks with them should be fine. Just remember if you start feeling ANYTHING funny, take them out right away. I have let little feelings go and they have turned into ulcers because the contact is constantly rubbing it when you blink.

I slept in my lenses one time and got corneal abrasions. I will never do that again.

I have the Dailies and love them. I have allergies and my eyes get really irritated and itchy so they are perfect for me.

Finally got my new contacts squared away.
The doctor gave me one pair of trial Accuvues and they hurt my eyes., she thought maybe it was the contact solution, Opti-Free, she gave me another pair and new contact solution, Clear Care, (which I used years ago) & those too, hurt my eyes. So she gave me a new brand of contacts, Air Optics, and so far they are ok.
What a PAIN! Literally! I just hope these ones work out for me.
She also told me to take them out every night & to not even shower with them in.

My eye doctor told me as long as you keep them clean and they don't hurt I can wear them up to a month. (I'm sure I stretch that out too)
