Thread: Some clarification.....

There was only one person doing bashing and being disrespectful in that thread. No one bashed the young mother people just voiced opinions -- differing opinions are great -- that's saying -- "I think this belongs on food stamps" and someone else saying "No I think that should be eliminated because of XYZ" and a conversation ensuing -- saying there should be an F-Off (or F-You whatever) button just shows no respect for the other people in the conversation. Disagreeing is fine -- it should just be done with a little thought.

I can appreciate different moderating styles but the bottom line should be being fair about it. Because a few come to attack and cause trouble, shouldn't mean that the topic cannot be discussed by those who do it civilly. As I said before, it really isn't the topic that is the problem nor most people exchanging their opinion on it, it's the personal attacks and baiting.

Oh no, there was more than just one person doing any bashing and yep, that mother in question was getting bashed on her parenting skills...just saying.

Oh yes pepper, she was being taken to task over the fact that she let her 2 yr old eat chips and cookies. There came the lectures and blah, blah, blah and stats on obesity and how a parent should be charged with child abuse and blah blah blah....yeah, I read the entire thread and to be honest, it rather pissed me off how some came across so holier than thou and I know better how to raise a child and eat right and blah blah blah. Good reason why I don't post much anymore...I would probably get banned permanently.

She, herself referred to chips & cookies, etc. as "junk".....but that's another thread and not what is being discussed here. That is not what got that thread locked. If you want, pm me and we can continue about chips and such....

See? LMAO! This is why these threads usually get closed. THIS thread isn't about FS...or junk food for kids. Oh wait...that one turned into people calling each other 'g'damn stupid".
