I have had this happen one time in my life. It was after my daughter was born and we were living in a house that was about 200 years old. It had been a county magistrates home, a county coroners home, and a hospital during the cival war. I loved that house until that one night when it felt like someone had thier hands around my throat and I couldn't breath or scream. But to me night terrors are worse. My nephew had them from the time he was about one till he was about 19. When he was about 3, we started seeing a creepy pattern. It was always a war scenario that always seemed to be of the vietnam war. And at 5 we realized he was talking medical stuff that he shouldnt know about. They were always violent and he always gave orders as if he were a medic. He never remembered them, and always went back to sleep easily.

It makes you wonder if he was reliving a past life. Sometimes I believe in re-incarnation because of the memories people have about past lives. Maybe he was a medic in the vietnam war in a past life. Makes you wonder.

Believe me, we wondered the same thing. I know it was hard on my sister, but when they stopped, it was sudden and she hasn't wanted to talk about since then. Can't say that I blame her because they were so scary and she couldn't allow him to stay over at friends houses and such. Iwas his aunt and knew about them and my son was only a year and a half younger. He stayed a few times, but I had to call her once because they were so frightening. He had injured others and himself so you had to be careful as to how you woke him up. They used to have an uncle that refused to stay over bcause he was a medic in the first Iraq war and heard what he would say during the episodes. I'm just glad they haven't seemed to have any effect on him.
