    Christmas tree

It's that time of year again. When does your tree go up? Do you buy a few new decorations every yr? Do you open presents on Christmas Eve? Do you have any special plans for Christmas this yr?

I want a small tree to set on a desk this year, no big tree for me to set up and take down. After Christmas I will usually buy a few new sale ornaments. My mother in law used to always open the present from my father in law on Christmas eve. We will go to my daughter's house again this yr. This is our new tradition, to go to her house for Christmas and the other daughter's for Thanksgiving.

Our tree goes up Thanksgiving evening. We're all bloated, so it's funny trying to get around each other to hang ornaments. We do 2-3 trees, depending on our mood at the time. We each get a new ornament every year. We open gifts from each other on Christmas eve, and Santa comes for the next morning. And then I spend all day making lasagne. By 7 p.m. I'm ready to drop.

We need a tree. Ours did not move with us. Due to allergies of the boys: we use artificial trees.
Last year was our first Christmas together, and we moved since then. We have NO IDEA where to put the tree yet.

We have the ornaments we bought last year, we will use them again this year.
And get one new ornament for each child.

I usually put up 3 trees and they go up the 1st week in Dec and get taken down New Yrs day. The living room one is more formal-usually has a snowflake theme. The family room one is the one where all of our old ornaments and the ones that are homemade go on and the upstairs I always let my DS decorate and its usually NASCAR.

But I dont think I am going to put up trees this yr. I am trying to sell my house and really dont have time. Plus my stuff is already packed and in storage. LOL

I will spend Christmas Day with my family. My cousin is coming in from Hawaii and I havent seen her in 6 yrs. I just started dating someone and I might spend Christmas Eve with him and his kids. He lives in the town were I am moving to so its going to be a 2 hr drive one way though.

We have a small tree that we decorate just for Lucy. It's done in different shades of purple. We set it up on Thursday.

Will probably put up the tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. Granddaughter is already bugging to put it up. I personally stopped buying decorations a few years ago.
But my daughter is picking some up here and there. She is tired of the tree always looking the same. We open all Christmas gifts on Christmas morning.

Willow, Lucy sure is getting big and is a real cutie. How old is she now.

For some reason I am really itching for a tree this year. I haven't put one up in a couple years cause it's just us and we're usually not even here... but I don't know... we'll see. I really want to put lights on the house but hubby is scared to do them around the roof and I'm not going to make him cause I'd feel guilty if something happened.
