Angelfood program?
I found a local church last month that participates with the Angelfood Ministries program of providing good decent food to those whom buy the boxes or groups of foods available at comparable if not lower prices than the local stores.
I did order a couple of the boxes they had last month and it seems to me worth the small cost paid...the food was of great quality and such...much was frozen but that I can deal with it. I was very surprized to see things like 2 pounds of new york strip steaks and 3 pounds of T-bone steaks for just $25 bucks...and yet the steaks were better than the store and very comparable to a butcher shop (if one can find one now).
Anyhow, just wondering if anyone out there also does this program and what do you think?
Thanks.

My daughter buys enough Angel Food to do her family of 4 for the month.

kidzpaca, they had a thread about this about a yr ago. I don't know if you can still pull it up or not but there was quite a bit of information on there.

I used to get Angel Food, but the local church that sponsored it quit. I'd have to drive a lot further to get to one now, so we don't get Angel Food any more. It's a very good program, though.
