best credit card?
I am looking into getting a credit card. I was hoping some of you on here have one and would give your advice on the best on for me to apply for. I'm not looking for a major credit card with lots to spend. Maybe like a $500.00 one with low fees. Any help would be appreciated Thank you for your time

I have a Chase Mastercard. It has no annual fee and a good interest rate. It doesn't have any rewards programs. I personally didn't want reward programs since I mainly use it just to pay for my toll road transponder fees. You might want to check Discover card if you are going to use it often and can get rebates with the card. Just remember to pay it off as soon as possible to avoid interest charges. If you want a Mastercard or Visa I would also check with your local credit union they usually have better rates.

Citi cards are good unless you mail them 2 checks with a payment. They will throw out one check and then charge you late fees and interest. My boss has had a Citi Visa for years and I learned long ago only 1 check per envelope with them. It really isn't Citi it is the bank that processes their payments but boy was I mad and tore a few heads off until they removed the charges. They processed a $ 250.00 check and threw out the $ 10,000.00 one. Real Smart.

That sounds like an honest mistake -- not like the horrible service I received from Chase -- will NEVER have a card with them again ever.
