ok I have a ?
Getting ready to fly to Michigan on the 23rd and my id is expired
haven't had a chance to renew it yet just wondering if that will be accepted at the airport just as long as I have my pic on my id never know with the airports these days

I'm not exactly sure what the rules are but I know personally I wouldn't take the chance. I would go get it renewed.

I am pretty sure that the ID will have to be current in order for it to be accepted.
You could always call the airline you intend to fly with and ask.

I would def. get it renewed though, just to think if you got pulled over for anything. I'm always paranoid like that though.

Call and ask but I have flown SW twice with expired ID. I had to show another photo ID with it but they took it

I agree with everyone else. Why take the chance? And the airline took hippie's id but only with another photo id.

If I were you I would try to get it renewed before you left. I know they say you need a "valid" id & I am not sure they would consider an expired id as being valid.
You don't want to be stopped at the gate either departing to or from whereever you are going.Insanity is hereditary. You get it from your kids.

You need to get it renewed. Also check with the DL office because they have new requirements before you can renew a Id to show that you live where you claim you live. The requirements are due to a change in a Federal law that took effect Jan 1. My boss had to go back 3 times with different stuff just to renew his license. So call them first your expired ID is not acceptable.

you need to get it renewed. you can always check the airlines website to be sure, but I am 99% positive on this one.

You know if you are trying to use your ID to purchase something you need to show age for and it is expired then they wont accept it. Also if you need to show it to use a check or credit card and it is expired then they are not supposed to accept it either.
Is there a reason you haven't gotten it renewed? I would try to get it done before you leave.
