Could be funny but isn't about my son's new dog

The second day after my son and his wife got their new dog, she went into heat. He has been so diligent about staying with her every second, for THREE weeks. Today he walked inside, 5 steps, into the kitchen and poured a cup of coffee. The yard is fenced in, when he went back outside she had very close company.
He couldn't get them apart. The question is, do dogs go out of heat after they get pregnant? She isn't out of heat yet. Vets can fix them when they are pregnant, can't they?

Well, I am assuming since they can get pregnant by more than one male that they don't go out of heat when they get pregnant... And yes, I do believe they can be fixed while pregnant... not that I could ever do it, I'm too much of a sucker for puppies.

If she is pregnant and they take her to get fixed, I believe the puppies would have to aborted.

No they heat cycle doesn't stop if she gets pregnant and yes, they will do it if she is pregnant. The cost is a little higher and also the risks.

Off topic...but I didn't know dogs could get pregnant from multiple partners. I know this is true for cats, but didn't know it for dogs.
Never argue with an idiot. It will bring you down to his level and he’ll win because of experience.

The eggs aren't released all at one time, so they can be fertilized by multiple partners.

The dog is a 9 month old pit bull. She is beautiful and sweet as she can be but... He said that it is almost impossible to get the puppies gone. He wouldn't want them used for fighting. He said a mom can come up and say oh how cute the pups are and then when he says they are pit bulls she grabs her kids and runs and he said he couldn't stand to see them put down after they are born and are cute little pups so his only choice is to get rid of them now. I love her to pieces myself but I wouldn't want one.

Google pitbull rescue. I know they have a rescue place. I hope she is not prego but just in case and your son needs to get her in for spaying as soon as possible. Borrow the money if need be. Good luck.
