    my oster rice cooker/steamer

    can't find the post from a while back....

    But here a while back I got an oster rice cooker/steamer. I absolutely love this thing, I have been steaming veggies for dinner left and right, not cooking much rice though.
    Anyway, I have had this cooker for I would say about 6 months now. The other day my condensation cup wilted and melted while cooking, and I noticed that the pot itself that you put the water/rice into... the water inside burns a little giving off a bad smell, with the burnt colored water, but the food from steaming is still good.

    So, I emailed the oster people, telling them my make and model that I have, and if I could order another condensatoin cup and perhaps the pot that fits inside of it.

    WELL, I got an email back from them, and they are sending me a brand new one, complete, FREE FREE FREE, worth $49.
    I couldn't believe it, I am soooo happy with them! It was totally unexpected!!

    Don't you love it when companies do things like that. I got my granddaughter a V-Motion for Christmas, the controller can work 2 different ways. No one told me the joy stick on it wasn't working and she has was having to use it the other way. I contact the company and told them it had been bought at Christmas so I didn't have the box or receipt any longer but was wondering if they could send me another remote. They had me try a couple of different things and when that didn't work they sent me a new controller for it.
    I also had the Keurig company send me a new coffee maker because the one I had after several months started not working correctly.
    I love it when companies do things like that. I think more highly of the company then.

    We have an air purifier from Sharper Image, bought about ten years ago and twice, when things went wrong they have replaced the whole thing...twice. I'm like, really? Yes, it is a great thing when a company does something right..........and you don't have to jump through hoops in order for that to happen!!!

    arrghhh, I have a p.o. box, and got one of those cards in my box today saying that I had a package to pick up.... well, my post office is closed saturdays, so I have to wait untill monday darnnit
