favorites
We all have favorites, friends we prefer over other friends. Funny but I don't know anyone on here , in person, and I've only had personal email from a few of you but even on here I have favorites. And it's not always ones who have the same opinion on everything that I do. Are you all like that too?
When I read a post, I always have to look and see who posted it.

There are a few I respect more than others. Usually it's because of the respect I see that they show others, regardless of the topic and their opinion of it.

I am surprised that I could learn from everyone on here, even the ones that make no sense to me, and it made me realize why the world is the way it is. I think that everyone (not literally) is so caught up in the little petty things, things that don't even matter instead of the big picture. Everyone (not literally) seems to be walking around in a fog, not seeing what is happening to our world and it's not just on here, it's everywhere...very scary.
We all need to remember one important thing on here, this is not a debate forum, and like baragabrat said, the ones that are respectful of others get my vote on here nowadays. I have to say that even though I don't get involved in any of the disputes on here anymore, I still enjoy reading them...lol.

There area few that always make posts that are well thought out, spelled correctly and easy to read. I always pay more attention to those than to the ones that might actually agree with me more but are full of typos, poor grammar and run-on sentences. I also tend to ignore long posts that are nothing but copy and paste from another site. I can read the news, I like the exchange of ideas.

I have a hard time reading long posts that don't have paragraphs. Not because it may or may not be the proper way to post but because it's just plain hard to read. If any of y'all have a really long post (and I don't mind them), put in some paragraphs. For me, it's just simply easier to read and I can better take it the point of the post. (when my girlfriend emails me it's all one long paragraph and because we are friends, I make the effort to read them, but it's hard!!!) Could be my brain or my eyes...dunno....at my age it could be both! LOL!!

Same here.
If it's one giant sentence, full of mistakes, I'll totally ignore it no matter what the topic is.
And I will NOT read a post full of 'text talk'.....
You is spelled Y-O-U......no "U"
Your is spelled Y-O-U-R......no 'UR'
What is spelled W-H-A-T....not 'wat' or 'wut'
I is ALWAYS "I".....not 'i'

I agree, and also, two spaces after a period, one space after a comma. Otherwise, the post is really hard to read.

Yep, hard to read when it's all jammed together and possibly the help the poster needs, even if it's an 'ear' or a 'hug', won't be there if no one reads and replies.

Gosh, I'm very surprised grammar is so important. Being able to write well is good but everyone didn't learn to and everyone didn't have those advantages. I try to read them all, except the copy and paste news articles. I don't always read those.

really doesn't matter to me, there's a member here with dislexia, I guess you should watch out for those postings then.
But yes, I agree it is harder to read if it's all jammed together and not separated with paragraphs or something.

i say whats on my mind and to the point!
who cares how someone writes a post? who cares if its in capitals or not,who cares if its in text,or abbreviation?
All generations do things differently.
so if you dont want to read a post, because you think its not written right, then dont read it,but dont put anyone down for the way they write or do things.they are probally from a different generation then you.jmoho
