Do you ever feel like if you don't do it, it won't be done right?

Do you ever feel like, if you don't do it, it won't be done right?
My husband took our dog to our daughter's house to keep for a couple of days. Did he take dog food? Of course not. What is wrong with men?

Sure, I feel that way about most things. I have learned to "let go" of some things though.

Absolutely! When I went back to work and DH stayed home with the kids, I felt like I still had to do everything because it wouldn't get done right. Took me a while to get used to they way DH does things and I have to admit that he is a better stay at home dad than I ever was a SAHM Now I don't do anything! LOL

That's an age-old question that I think will always elude us women. LOL!!

I just said that to my hubby the other day. If I don't do it it doesn't get done.

I will admit there are certain things I still must do my self...but as I age I am learning to let other things go..an allow others to do them..It is okay that they are not done 'my' way..It does take a bit to keep my trap shut and roll along and ignore it.

BTW I think it would be easier to figure what is right with men than vis-versa...!!!!!

Drives me nuts when hubby is in the kitchen cooking, because I know he is going to leave the burner on,burn the house down, over cook it,not cook it long enough, forget to cook it,leave the oven on,dont turn it on at all,and I just know the dishes will be piled up to the roof, grrr, lol.

Wow, ladies. You are letting some good opportunities go by. My hubby does all the cooking and much of the laundry and other things. Now, I admit that he is definitely a better cook than I am...but I am better at other things. But, I keep my mouth shut because he is helping around the house.

He is retiring the end of the month (after 40 years of government service). I will continue working full-time for now. He is so thankful that I'm "letting" him retire (his words, not mine) that he has promised to be a full-time 'house husband'. He even told me to let him know what I want to wear for the week and he will have it all ironed for me. Dinner will be waiting for me when I come home for work and the house will be all cleaned. No more running errands on the weekend and trying to get all caught up before the new week starts. What doesn't get done can just wait because he will not be working. Why didn't I have him retire earlier???
Never argue with an idiot. It will bring you down to his level and he’ll win because of experience.

I understand you totally, my husband tries to clean up after he shaves, but there is still residue of his hair all over. He tries to clean up the mess he made, but it is still sticky. I rather have him leave it and I will clean it. Although he is great watching the kiddos when I need girl time, so there are somethings which i am grateful he does. I still love being married to him with all his mess and imperfection.

I don't just "feel" it, I know it. Also, doing it myself means less b******* from anyone.
