    How is your nature?

If you can answer that , don't. If you can't you are in the boat with all of us at my house. My son in law was asked this question this past week when he went to the doctor. This dr works here, in town, and he also has an office in the country. Maybe it is a country term, I don't know. But I'm old as dirt and I've never heard it before and neither had my husband or any of our kids. We know what it means now but my sil didn't know how to answer it then. He is getting a good check up before going to Iraq.

Ummmmmm..........if it is meant the way it is used around here, "How is your nature" basically means "how is your personality"...Are you good natured? Bad natured? Sickly natured? so on and so forth.....

If Im wrong, please tell me. Id like to know too.

    Yep, this.
I always thought it meant one's temperament.

Me too. But if asked this question, I would probably take a minute or two to answer because there are some days I am good-natured, others not so much.

My son in law had seen a big poster on the back of the exam room door and it was telling the symptoms of low testerone. (He just turned 50) Some of them are: lack of energy, decrease in strength and endurance, decrease in height, decrease in enjoyment in life, decrease in interest to play active sports, deteriation in work performance, falling asleep after dinner and of course some related to sex. What the dr was asking was if he was still able to perform sexually. It's just a way to ask it that none of us had ever heard.
So if someone asks you how is your nature, you must wonder what they are asking you. Like most of you, I thought it referred to your personality like "Is he good natured?"

That's interesting. I've never heard it put like that and I work with almost a dozen doctors, lol. Maybe the expression is popular in the area the doctor's from.

First thing I thought of, it might be a way to ask if he was regular---like going to the toilet. LOL I guess he could have answered---I'm just fine, I do it every moring just like clockwork. HMMMMM
