NO not necessarily! Just watch it, it should reclot on its own if they were just done. Sorry

I really hope they do re clot for you, Trust me you will know if you have dry socket, I had this before and no lie I would not wish it on my worst enemy! If you did just get them done and they are still bleeding I'm sure they will clot. Best of luck.

I called my oral surgeon and he said that it was nothing to worry about because I have stitches and that it stopped bleeding half an hour later, so I am praying it will all be OK . Thanks to everyone

I'm not sure what happened, I didn't even notice that my clot came out. all I know is The prescription pain pills were not working for the pain anymore at all. I was crying non stop it hurt that bad. I went back in as soon as I could get in and he said that I had no clot and it was dry socket. He gave me medicine that you put in the hole where you tooth use to be and that really help (It smelled so bad though, lol) But thankfully it got better within a week. I will be keeping you in my thoughts that you don't get it

First time I got a tooth pulled, I was so out of it, from lack of sleep and I was in a new town & had to take a bus home, I didn't really listen to what the dentist was saying about the gauze.
By the time I got home I pretty much passed out and woke up covered in blood. All I remember him saying was don't lose the clot, but I pretty much had a 4" blood slug in my mouth, so of corse I spit it out & it just kept reclotting. Yuck!
Now I know to keep wet gauze & pressure on the incision.... I hope thats right, don't want Adam to come & yell at me for giving wrong advice.
