Thread: side effects?

Know any side effects of any prescription drugs from personal experience that some of us may not know about and would like to know?

ambien- causes memory loss
lipitor- causes pain , much like fibromyalgia.
My doctor would not tell me about this. My sister in law did. I was having terrible fibromyalgia pain. After my sister in law told me, I told my doctor I wanted to go off it for a trial period. He said ok for 2 months. My pain decreased immensely after I went off it. My husband doesn't have pain from it. After I told my doctor that I could tell a huge difference, he told me he couldn't take it either for the same reason.

I was taking a beta blocker Toprol XL for my high blood pressure. I was on it for a couple of years and all of of sudden started getting light headed from it.
So the doctor weaned me off it. My blood pressure was doing ok so he kept me off it. Well after being off it for about a month or so, one evening I was hit with the feeling of doom and anxiety. I never had these problems before in my life. My doctor was away at the time. I spent a week in bed and went back on a low dose of Toprol until I could get in to my doctor. That was one of the worst experiences I ever had. I had to take Xanax to help out some and sometimes had to take Zoloft. This was over a year ago and to this day I still have some problems with this. But I can't take the Zoloft or Xanax any more. It started effecting my arms. They get this strange feeling in them and and I have to rub them to get it to go away. I haven't taken either one in months and my arms still do this. But when I would take one it would get worse.
I've done research and found that Topral is used for stage freight for performers sometimes.
I've also found that others have had side effects from Xanax and Zoloft similar to mine.
