Cancer center of America
Does anyone have experience with Cancer Center of America? I had never paid attention to their adds until I had a friend who had bladder cancer and she went to them. She said she just called them up, they took over, when she arrived, they had a car waiting , she said it was wonderful. I don't know why someone would chose this instead of care at home but she did and said it was wonderful. Any other experiences with them? No , I am not in need of them, at this time.

I've seen there ads but I don't know anything about them. I've often thought since the specialize with cancer they may know more about how to beat it than a regular doctor. I guess if I had cancer I would see what was around here and I would seriously consider them if my insurance covered it.

I see so many ads and I wonder just how much they have to offer a patient if he or she has maxed out the expertise in their own area. The commercials really do seem inspiring of hope.
We had us, we had him, now we have everything.

A couple we know that are up there in age has a family member, the wifes sister that is going to the cancer center of america in philadelphia. They swear by them. I don't know much about them, but this couple swears by them. They have a car that meets the train to take them to the facility and back, and this lady was having no luck with her tumor, it was at a 12.something, and they have it down to a 4.0. So it sounds like they know what they are doing.

My friend who went there had bladder cancer and she also thought they were absolutely wonderful. She couldn't sing their praises loud enough.

I've saw their ads and always thought that if I got cancer I'd want to go there. Their comercials are so full of hope. The best hospital in our area used my mom as a test subject. After she had her surgery I read an article that told the kind of surgery they talked her into having is rarely successful.

I hate hearing these stories. Is she still alive? My mom was kind of a test subject as well. It was in the 80s and the type she had was so rare she was like the 6th documented case at the time. Needless to say, if she had it now we all feel she would have had better results... but she passed away before they could find something to work.
I agree that the commercials are great and I hope they really are as good as they claim. I can only imagine how the ppl going there for treatment must feel.

No, she died about 3 months after the surgery. I'm sorry to hear that about your mom.
