Wink Wasn't really sure where to put this... kinda a "that guy's cool" moment.

I suppose this post could go in Neener but there's not a neener involved really. A new restaurant has opened up here in Johnson City, TN called Red Hots, and yes, the owner is from CHICAGO! Wooo! He has a contract with Vienna. Anyone who is remotely near Chicago on here is gonna understand this. Anyways, we met him when he first started construction on the building, he's a young guy... full the Chicago attitude... and John and him hit it off immediately. John's originally from around the Clark and Peterson area of Chicago, where as I spent some time in Oak Park. We didn't believe him at first so we test him... LMAO! When he mentioned Byron's (Wilson and Ashland), and Bueno Beef we knew he was real. We've become good friends of his, he's already drawing a LOT of business and he still remembers his "regulars". He's just such a great person.
We thought he closed at 9 PM, apparently it's 8 PM. So we rode up there tonight, and I tell you Adrian is just so super freaking cool. He was closed but he came out to talk to us and he said that people are like " you're the manager/owner why don't you wear a tie, why are you dressed like the workers? And he said "Because I'm not a business man, I'm a guy who likes hotdogs...and people. I'm no better than them." I thought that was so awesome.
He is just so down to earth. When you go in there, you see him cooking, serving, taking orders... he's just so awesome!

Being friendly and knowing your customers gets more business than good food in a restaurant. Of the restaurants we go to around here, our favorites are the 2 where they are so friendly and know our names. They get to know their customers names and something about them to talk about. One is a Mexican restaurant. The owners are 3 brothers. They have 2 sisters working there too. They've shared so much about their family and they know ours and ask about them when we go in. It had to have been very hard for them in the beginning because they could barely speak English. Their business got so good they had to move to a bigger building. Lucky you for the new restaurant. Meeting new cool people is great!

That is very very awesome. Nothing better than spending your money at a place where you have total respect for the owner.
We had us, we had him, now we have everything.
