Problem with new computer
I have a new computer and I have been having a strange problem with it. I think it is a setting but I don't know how to fix it. I've never seen this problem with any of the computers I have previously used. Maybe someone can tell me how to fix it.
When I have several pages open on the desktop, and I want to close one, I can't close just one. If I click the x to close a page, a message comes up and says are you sure you want to close all pages and I have a choice of closing all or non. Many times I only want to close one page and not all.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

With the new Internet explorer you have to close each tab. So instead of clicking the X in the top corner, click the X on the tab of the page you want to close.

Oh thank you. I absolutely hate it. And what is that about when you close a tab and get that stupid page that says tab only. But thank you and that explains why my old computer doesn't do it?

I always right click out of pages. I have read a couple of times where some sites know people click to X out of sites at the right corner and this is how they will download spyware, malware or viruses.

QuakerParrots or anyone else who can help me, please tell me how to turn this crap off.
I saw it somewhere that it can be turned off, thank goodness. I have been trying to get used to it for 6 weeks and I still don't like it. Help please.

If you have Internet Explorer 7 I found this to turn off the tabs.
