Thread: Do you ever stop to think how lucky we are?

Do you ever stop to think how lucky we are to be born here in the United States? or to live here?

I know we all criticize our government. I do it too.

But think how lucky we are to be born or to live here. We have wonderful men fighting for our freedom and even though we don't feel we are free , I think we have more freedom than many other people.

As a school kid I used to wonder if all kids learned in school that their country is the best. I still wonder if they do. I guess it depends on the country and the school. But I know we are taught our country is the best and I feel it is.

I feel very lucky to have been born in the United States. I feel lucky to have been born to the parents I was born to and in the state I was born and raised in.

Do others of you feel this way?

Yes, I feel very privileged. That's why it upsets me so to see it being taken apart or reconstructed. It also upsets me to see others leach off of it.....we all have the opportunity to better ourselves in so many ways and on so many levels.

Yes, we Americans are truly blessed.

Ahh, great post...makes me want to print it out a few times to hand out to people who act like they are living in one of the worst countries in the world. I often want to tell people exactly what you said when they complain about things.

We are lucky to have all we do, and I hope that I am instilling that belief in my son as best I can.
