    could care less

Stop and think about the expression "I could care less". I see this everywhere. It is incorrect. It was in the paper today and it is just not a correct expression. Just think about what you are saying. When you say
"I could care less" You are saying you could think even less about it. What you want to say is "I couldn't care less" I used to say this until my brother pointed out to me what I was saying. If you use this expression, think about what you are saying.

I've never heard it as "could care less", I've always heard and said "couldn't care less"

Yes...people should be saying, "I couldn't care less". People should also say 'regardless' instead of 'irregardless' which is a coined word combining irrespective and regardless...and when used...means exactly the opposite of what people mean.

    But...that's an entire other topic.

The word that gets under my skin the most is the use of the word "like". I hear that word used constantly by the younger generation.
The local TV station had an interview with this young lady who is going to be graduating from high school in June. The interview was less than 15 seconds however she used the word "like" 12 times.
