Thread: Mammograms?

Had to go for my yearly GYN appt.
I'm 35 & the Dr. told me that I'll need to get a mammogram now.
I have no family history of breast cancer., I have no children., I'm not on any meds.
I told him that I thought it was 40 years old when you 1st get one, not 35.
All the research I've done says that unless you have a family history, you shouldn't need one until your 40.
Just seems fishy to me, like he's after my insurance dollars.
