Thread: Coolest idea ever, in my opinion ofcourse lol

Not sure how new this idea is but I learned it yesterday in class. I take a cooking class once a month with my mom just to get out of the house. I never learn anything cause it is all pretty basic meals but we get to take the meals home and get a $10.00 gas card so I go lol. Yesterdays class we just did puppy chow and some cookies in a jar recipe. We learned how to make color sugar like for on top of cookies. If you buy it colored already its almost $3.00 per little container. You just take 1/4 cup and put in 2 drops of food coloring and keep stiring it with a fork. put more drops in it if you want it darker but only do it by 2 drops at a time.

Just thought I would share that easy tip and hope I am not the last one to know about this lol.

Let me know how you liked the idea. I can't believe how freakin simple and cheap it is to do. My mom got the pastel and neon food coloring last night so she has all the colors lol.

Colored sugar is 'cooking' related....

We always did this growing up, my grandma said the colored sugar from the store cost too much.
