    Satellite out...snow

My satellite is out because of the blizzard that hit us over the last 2 days.

It is on the peak of roof and covered with snow but I cannot get up on roof to clear the snow...Too dangerous.

Any ideas? Especially products that might help me from the ground. House is only one story/ranch. Thanks.

I have a long pole where I duct taped a broom on the end and then I stand on one of my chairs and I am able to reach my satellite that way. (cue banjos LOL)

Get a roof rake or roof shovel, you can clear the snow easily off of a ranch roof and the satellite. Handy to have when you get tons of snow to avoid roof collapse/problems and leaking issues as well when melt begins. I think they are around $20 or so at Walmart/Value, etc. You can stand on the ground and just do it from there.
