Do you?
Okay, so I am layin on the couch bored and got to thinking. Do you do a theme on your tree or just put whatever you have on it??
Mine is a hodgepodge cause it is all handed down from my parents. My tree doesnt have to look perfect to make me smile.

Our tree is made up of ornaments that were mine from childhood as well as my childrens from their childhood. When they grow up and leave home, their ornaments with go with them so they can share them with their family.

Ours is an assortment as well. But when I am older without a child in the home, I am going to go back to all white lights with poinsettias only on the tree. I think that is so beautiful.
We had us, we had him, now we have everything.

Mine has wooden wall hangers, that have snowmen on them, or winter theme/CHRISTmas theme. Sounds kinda strange, but its beautiful. White lights, and has a large cream/burgandy plaid bow on top and streamers. Burgundy, beige, and hunter green streamers kinda tossed throughout, gold, silver, burgundy balls. The silver ones are like a disco ball and shows lights really well. (it also has some special ones the kids made as well.)

I have 2 trees. One has an assortment of ornaments and the other is a white tree that has pink and purple ornaments and pink lights.
Mother to 2, Momma to All, Memaw to 4.

Hodgepodge! I have ornaments from my childhood, my kids ornaments and ones they have made, ones my DH and I have bought over the years, and now that my mom and dad are both gone I'll be putting some of theirs on the tree.

I usually pick a different color theme every year. Two years ago it was red and gold, last year it was blue and silver. This year it is all colors. I got a new tree skirt and it is all colors, so I'll just let my daughter decorate with whatever is in the box. We each get a new Hallmark ornament every year from the in laws and I don't normally decorate with those, so this year we will probably use those.

Ours is a hodge podge, some were mine when I was a kid, some were given to me as gifts as I was growing up, a lot are salt dough ornaments that have the kids' pics in them as they went through grade school. Sometimes I think I want to do a theme, but I don't think it would have the same meaning for us, or for the kids, if we just quit using all the things we have for something that was just to look at.

Mine doesn't usually have a theme necessarily. We used to have a fake tree with the lights already in it and it had the mulit-colored lights so we had ornaments that were the same colors (jewel tones). We gave that away and now we always have a real tree and I like classic colors, or what I consider classic colors - white lights with red, green, or silver ornaments - oh and candy canes!. We also have ornaments from the kids but not as many as I'd like. We used to have tons but an ex (he's a jerk) and threw them away.
