I don't think I'm high maintenance. I do my own manicures, designs and all, color my own hair, I wear name brands but I get them at discounts outlets. So I look like I spend a lot, lol!

I am high maintenance on a budget. I can't afford to go to a salon to get my hair & nails done so I do them myself. I seldom ever pay full retail.
Now clothes are a different matter. I do have to dress nice for work so I do have alot of clothes & shoes. I waited for this $119 Michael Kors dress to get marked down all summer at Macy's. I finally got it 3 weeks ago for $12. SWEET! Now I only have to wait 6 more months until it is warm enough to wear it.
There are also these Micahel Kors boots that sell at Macy's for $250 but are listed for $69 on ebay. Been listed 4 times already so I am hoping for a price reduction. If not that's OK too. I will just go to Payless.
And I will admit to always having a balance on mu Penney's card since I was 16 & I am now 50
I just think Penneys should be a automatic deducion from my paycheck just like social security is.
Very low maintenance. I color my own hair (must have coupons and buy when on sale). I get my hair cut once a year if that often. Use to get my nails done but now I just do them myself. The only 2 things I buy that are "designer" names are my Aigner purses and my Reebok's. Considering a purse will last me a few years they end up being cheaper than the ones you get at Wal-mart on sale. However, I ONLY buy a new purse when Macy's is having a very good sale.
Low maintenance here too. I color my own hair and never get my nails done. I don't care about brand names on clothes as long as they last and look nice. I do love Coach purses but I only buy one when the PX marks them down at the end of the season. I plan all year by putting birthday/Christmas money away for it. It's the only thing I ever treat myself too! Though this year unless they get marked way down, I won't be getting one. Paying for two households is taking up all our extra money.
I am low maintenance but am a label nut. But I am such a bargain hunter, that I dress us all very well, but don't spend a lot.
I have had acrylic nails put on a few times, mostly for special occasions when I couldn't get my own nails to grow. I've had a pedicure once, but I have been getting a manicure (my own nails filed and painted) lately because if I try to file them myself, I totally screw them up. I've had my hair colored in a salon once, but I had it done a couple times by a beautician friend in her house - maybe once a year. I wash my hair and let it go usually. I use Suave shampoo because I like it, I wear makeup only when I need to dress up. I have one pair of dress pants and a few nice shirts that I wear for job interviews or something of the sort. I don't have name brand anything. I don't consider myself high maintenance, but occasionally I'll pamper myself IF I can afford it. I went so long having nothing for myself while I was married, I feel like I deserve to be pampered every once in a while. But, I will admit - most of the "pampering" I get is a gift from someone else...
I'm definitely HIGH maintenance but not in a girly girl way... I don't wear make up unless I'm going somewhere fancy or John begs me...lol! I don't buy a lot of name brands but if I can get them cheap I do. I DO travel ALOT and go out to eat at sit down restaurants, ALOT. I DO enjoy my bubble bath and lotions though. I expect certain things... as far as how I am treated by a man as far as dating/dining/spoiling goes. I get what I want 99% of the time from John. :D To say I am spoiled is an understatement. I do color my hair every 3 months... don't paint my toes or nails though.
I can say that when I was single, if someone dared take me to a fast food place as a date, the date was over before it started.
Unfortunately I was/still am a very spoiled only child by Mom and my Dad doesn't spoil me, but when I was little he did...actually all Dad's family treated me better than the other grandkids. LMAO! I was definitely THE spoiled one and it still shows to this day. :D
I am low maintenance.
I like certain brand names when it comes to the few things I work into my budget to pamper myself, but being a smart shopper I get those things on sale only. I can't remember when I paid full price for anything that I spoil myself with. I buy my anti-aging products when they are buy one get one half price (or less). I find deals on the haircare products I use, and stock up when I find the deals so that I have enough to last for a long time.
I don't think I have anyone in my circle of friends who would consider themselves high maintenance.
For a date night I'd rather my husband rent a movie or find a good one we already own, serve me a peanut butter sandwich on a paper plate for dinner and send the kids to Grandma's for the night than for him to take me out somewhere and spend a bunch of money on me. The nice quiet evening would be better than anything he could spoil me with since quiet evenings here are so rare. :)
Speaking of which, my kids are yelling at each other again so I'm logging out to send them to bed early.
Low maintenance. I have my own nails, get my hair cut one a year, and wear jeans and tshirts. I rarely wear perfume because of allergies. I buy most of my clothes at BJ's with coupons. As long as they are clean, I am happy.
I am Low Maintenance. I do get my hair done (highlighted) every few months but my SIL has her own shop so I get that for way less than what she would normally charge. My clothes I get from Ross or Marshall's. I do love purses and have quite a few but I only pay $10-$15 for them. Make up is whatever is on sale or I have a coupon for.
I'm not high maintainence, but I want to be. My husband would probably disagree, but what does he know LOL
