Who wants to hear my Dr Phil story?

Have a few minutes until the pizza is done so here goes.
How many on here know someone who has appeared on a show like Dr Phil? What are the odds right?
I always TiVo Dr Phil & watch it while I am having dinner, nothing more pathetic than wathcing Dr Phil while eating alone, oh well.
Ok so on Tuesday I am in the kitchen kind of listening to the show but not really paying attention. Yea this was one of the few days I actaully cooked.

Dinner was done, Dr Phil was in Commerical so I clicked on info to see what the show's topic was. It was about out of control kids so I figured the topic really didn't interest me much but instead of just deleteing it I went back to the kicthen to get a glass of water.

Came back & the show was back on & Dr Phil was talking about this 10 year old who was killing pets which kind of freaked out this animal lover so as I am about to get the remote to delete they showed the mother who just happened to be the daughter of a guy I used to date. When he mentioned wanting to move up & live with me I got out of the situation. I did not need 3extra mouths to feed.

This family was really, really strange. The mother's life goal was to get SSI. She & her son live with the father but she gets food stamps & welfare. I don't get how.
There was MAJOR disconnect with the entire family so I am not surprised that they are at this point.
I never heard Dr Phil say a child needs to be in an instituation before. WOW!

Wow, that is really something. I saw a part of that story and that was very disturbing. I was puzzled as to why after he killed one small animal, others were purchased. That was goofy to me. Didn't they say the little boy pushed the mom down the stairs? That is awful. I don't know how all that will work out.

Anyway, sounds like you dodged a bullet getting away from that family!
We had us, we had him, now we have everything.

I was watching COPS one time and saw a neighbor that we were close with for years. I was really freaked out because he was always such a nice guy.

Can't really say since I haven't had any contact with them in almost a year. I was done with a capital D when his daughter mentioned about how excited she was that they are going to be moving in with me. That was SO not going to happen.
I couldn't believe they still had the cat. I was waiting for the lightbulb to go on above their heads but Mom & Grandmom never got it. What surprised me was that the grandfather wasn't on the show too since they do live with him.

I saw that and that boy definitely needs help. I think they said and he did too that he was molested twice. That may be where all the anger is coming from.

He was molested 3 times. I can't understand how a 4 year old can use a lighter.

Me either. They're hard for me to use sometimes. You're lucky they didn't move in with you. They said they'd wake up to find him with a knife in their room. They need to put locks on their doors before he kills one of them.

This is a case of this child interacting with 4 adults in his family daily & not one has ever stepped up to the plate & be the role model for the child. It was at times like dealing with 4 teenagers.
I know as late as last summer Mom had the child at a crack house until way past 1 AM.
Daddy yealled at her, she took her frustration out on the kids & the cops were called. This is the insanity this child lives in so no wonder he is like he is.
