    Angry Computer people PLEASE help

before I go insane!!!!My laptop was working perfectly until I got back form the park yesterday. My warranty is 2 months past and Microsoft says they wont help unless I pay, which is BS because it is their product that I believe caused this. I have goggled and searched beyond my patience!! Spent hours on the phone with HP and they said they have been flooded the past 3 days with this but Microsoft says they are lying lmao.

I have a blue screen with a stop error code 0x0000c1f5, can not get to my desktop. I have done the couple things I found online to do but nothing is working. Pushing f8 and trying to start in safe mode or doing a back thing to when the computer was safe does nothing!!!!! f11 wont even work.

The guy at Microsoft said I cant really tell you how to fix it except I will tell you to reinstall you OS. I don't have the original disk!!

PLEASE help me, Please????? I am using a friend's dinosaur of a laptop till Monday to try and figure this out.

I also did a hard boot where you take the battery out and hold the power down for 20 sec to drain any excess power and that wouldn't even help.

P.S.HP said it was probably installing service pack 1 when somehow my house lost power in the middle of it but there was no sign of that when we got back from the park.

I had to reinstall Vista on my laptop on Friday due to it loosing the OS. Luckily mine was still under warranty and I was able to reinstall the OS with help from Dell - it ONLY took an hour. From what I remember here is how I was able to do mine - Take the battery out and do what you did to drain it. Then put the battery back in - hit start and start pushing the F8 button. It will take you to a screen to reinstall the OS. Sorry but anything you had on there you will loose and then you have to go through 8 million updates. Good Luck - hope it works.

By hitting start do you mean the power button cause I c ant get to my desktop at all. I did the f8 and it just gives me the operations for starting in safe mode but that doesn't do any good. I called geek squad and they said 130 to reinstall my xp, what a crock lol

I meant the on-off button above the keys. As soon as you hit that start hitting F8 and it should take you to a way to do a restore - not just the safe mode stuff. I was told $ 179.00 from CompUSA and a FIVE day wait.

Yeah the f8 thing doeskin work, I tried all the options and I still get the blue stop error screen. Guess I have no choice but to put it away cause I def don't have the money to fix it. Thanks
