    Another puppy question

Okay This is is about house training. We are still working with him on trying to get him to understand to go to the door when he has to go potty and not to just go in the house. I know this is a long process. I read a lot of different sites and they say not to give the puppy water two hours before bed time. But that seems like a long time for a puppy not to have water. I mean that's two hours before and then all night. So do you agree on this or is it to long? I know puppy's need a lot of water so I'm just looking for opinions and suggestions. Thank you

They can go all nite without it. This also goes back to the crate. Most times, dogs will not potty where they sleep. So if you put him in the crate before bed, at the most he might pee a little in there. He will figure it out. Also if you think he might have to potty but he isnt going , put him in the crate for half hour, let him outside. if he pottys then he can stay out of crate, if not put him back in for another 30 mins.
If ya ain't careful, this flea will bite your arse!

I highly recommend crate training. Makes everything so much easier. I cant remember if we withheld the water at night though. Its been 15 yrs since I had to deal with a puppy. My other dogs were all housebroken when we got them.
    Keep your chin up!
