Q for my sis: Does anyone know anything about this?
Hey guys........I hope you all can help.
My sister signed up with Frederick Duffy Marketing Group to be a Secret Shopper. They sent her a mighty big check and told her to do 2 Money Gram transfers to a couple of people & buy something at walmart for a certain amount (taking money from the check, then the other $400 is hers as a "salary and training pay".
has anyone heard anything or been through anything with this company? She is just starting out down here (she has been gone for 20 years) and I would really hate to see her get taken by someone or something for $ she doesnt have.
Please let me know.

No! It's a scam! She will deposit the check into her account, send the wire transfers which will come out of her account then the check will be discovered to be bogus. She will be out the money she transferred. Have her report them to the police. It's a con.

Yeah, the check bounces and she'll be out the money she sent.

Thank you all so much!!! I was really curious as to why a check would be paid to her from a supposed construction company in texas and wired to a supposed marketing group in Canada!

There are legit secret shopping places out there. I don't know which ones they are. But maybe someone on here that does secret shopping could tell you the name of a legit place and your sister could try to get hired by them.

thank you, I have had someone offer to give me a few names for her.. I am putting this into a brown envelope instead of the shredder now, ill take her to Police station tomorrow morning to turn this is. 
so sad way things are now and there are people out there like this that will try to make it worse on someone else. just irritates me all to H E dbl hockysticks!

Yes, this kind of scam has been going on for a while now. Just glad you asked about it before she did it. I agree take it the police and let them handle it.

Yeah they will hopefully pass it on to the attorney general or whomever for your state......
