When I was single I did it. However, I didn't move to another state, or city....I kind of did. I moved further away from my childhood home.
I say do it. Even though I still live in my "home state" and basically the same city all the times that I moved no one knew me except for work and a few friends.
You only have one chance in this lifetime. I say DO IT. Yes, it's a hassle, packing boxes, finding a new place....but everytime I felt so much better about doing it. With every move (when single) I usually started a new job, made new friends, went new places I'd never been before.
It really is never to late to do it. I have to say in my defense that I really do love living in Houston. It has a lot to offer, many places that most would enjoy.
Name for a new country song: If I'd Shot You Sooner, I'd Be Out of Jail by Now.

I did what was right for me and mine. It was real tough in the beginning. I thought about returning "home" after about 2 months, then I thought no way, I am gonna make it work. It has been wonderful. My kids love it here and will occassionally worry we will move back up "home".
I think if you know this is something you NEED to do, then have at it. Nothing but you holding you back. If there is a will there is a way. I hope that the place you choose will bring you what you need. Life is to long to be unhappy. My best wishes to you Lisa...HUGS!!!
Where did you move from Mary? Did you know anybody there when you moved or did you just take a leap of faith?

I moved from Ohio to Georgia. I knew one person in Augusta, Georgia. After 2 months, didn't have anything else to do with her. Then I moved to Cumming, Ga. and only knew my DH. I have no regets except I didn't move earlier.
The more you complain, the longer God makes you live.
