Anyone not carry health insurance?
Today is a good day as my ex's health insurance kicks in and he now has my DS on his health insurance plan. However, even without having to carry my DS on my plan, the price is still over $500 a month-I am self employed so I have to carry my own plan! I am wondering if I should just cancel my health insurance all together!?! It doesnt cover ANYTHING-not ER visit without prior approval (I laugh at that one...let me call you for approval as they are loading me up into the ambulance!!!!!), no regular drs visits, no labs, tests etc etc etc. I think all total they covered like maybe $200 last yr and I am still paying on a nearly $2500 from various drs and hospitals-DS fell and cracked his head open once and I had a skin cancer scare. I have shopped around and even contacted a broker.
Anyone not carry health insurance at all? Any advice?

We didnt have insurance until last year. The kids did, but DH and I didnt. We self paid for doctors ( DH hasnt been to the dr since we have been together and that is 12 yrs.)
We have blue cross/ blue shield, and for what i need it for it sucks. It doesnt cover psychiatric ( which I need for one of my DS, and apparently for my self) only covers 10 family counseling sessions a YEAR, doesnt pay for inpatient hospitalization for psychiatric, and only pays get this $7 towards a a psychiatrist.
If you are paying $500 a month, it would be cheaper not to carry it, save the money and use it for drs as you need it. thats crazy
If ya ain't careful, this flea will bite your arse!
