    Home Exchange?

Has anyone investigated or participated in this website?

It supposedly works as two families swap homes for vacation rentals --

example, someone in France wants to come to the US... so you agree to swap and that's your vacation (you go to France and stay in their house...they come to the US during that same time frame and stay in your house).

    www.homeexchange.com

just wondering about the validity of it all... how do you know you won't get robbed? LOL

WOW, I would not mine exchanging with them but they want to go to Europe. Wonder if they would like to come to KS and see a wheat field? LOL

Looks like you need to join the club to be a member and pay a fee to see the listings. ???

Whoops---it goes to a slide show. I wanted the Lake Tahoe house.

you can look at the pictures and stuff -- without being a member.

I saw that it costs $99 for a year

just wondering if others maybe have tried this one or something similar.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind looking at a wheat field! I just want a cheaper vacation away from all of our lakes, streams, rivers and local stuff (greenfield village, henry ford museum, blah, blah, blah)

I need to find a site for common folks. Exchange houses here in the states. We don't have much to see here. People would probably need to have relatives here with a small house that they couldn't stay in. Then it would work.

I'm in Wisconsin if anyone wants to come here, hehe. Does sound really interesting though.

LOL @ tornado alley in the springtime -- hell, tornado alley at any time.

I think that is the best part of where we live -- the tornadoes all run in a course to the north of us. I am not sure if our area, near the Ohio line is in a giant valley or what, but we seem to miss the tornadic activity that rolls through coming from the midwest *whew*... I would rather go through a hurricane!

I would do something like this depending on the location and the documents involved. I mean if you had a place at Malibu I might consider it but a trailer park wouldn't be my idea of a great exchange OR being in tornado alley!..lol (I already stare at wheat fields and farms). I have 3 calves being delivered this morning. Trading my place means feeding the critters too.
