Yay! Congrats! She's going to love it! DS had the time of his life when he did his program. He enjoyed being with kids of like mind. The 3 weeks will drag by for you but will be done in the blink of an eye for her. It's been years since CTY and he's still friends with a couple kids he met there 13 years later. The state awards program is a thing to behold. DS's was done at Boston U and they go all out for the kids.
What a great opportunity. I'm happy for you guys.

But we got a letter the other fay and apparently out of the 7th graders who took the test she was in the top 5% so what that means is she will be allowed to take one of their 3 week summer courses. She has the choice of Appalachian State University or Kansas State University. She is thrilled since she is interested in medicine and one of the courses is intro to medicine. Here is a link to the info on it and the other courses offered. Since it's sop late in the summer she won't even miss summer softball.
