I think it was both of us and a few more that night. We got talking a lot on MA and gay marriage and so on. I stayed up way passed my bedtime on that one!

Yep I'm an old liberal fogie.
lol........i think we got really heated but looking back or thinking back it's not worth the fuss at all. everyone has their own mindset and is passionate as the next person about certain things but it's not worth losing yourself and your mind over it. kwim? love thy neighbor and i do darnit. i love people.

We did and you did apologize and all was forgotten. We might not all agree politically (that's an understatement, lol) but the vast majority of us are morally on the same wavelength. All of the going back and forth on certain subjects keeps us sharp and gives us some food for thought and that's a good thing. I'd hate to live an apathetic life. I've learned quite a bit from people here (like illegal immigrants, I live in an area that isn't as affected as others) and I'm glad to be able to get to know many. The funny thing is some of the people that I've butted heads with on those touchy subjects have become friends.

i want to say that's the best thing about this place....aside from the freebies. i've learned a lot too...i mean a person can go on and further their education and work in that environment and learn a lot. but, when you get a mix of people from all over the country all in one "area"....you can't help but learn a lil something. i've changed my tune several times on a few issues just from learning and listening to people from this very board.!!!

I am 42 and believe me, you are not old. I don't feel old at all .. it's just a number. Wear your age well and be proud
They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Distance and time may separate us but friendship and memories won't.

OMG. I also just realized. The kids that were in kindergarten when I graduated are now Seniors. I'm gonna throw up lol
LOLOL I got that feeling a couple weeks ago. I saw a boy I remember was in elementary school when I graduated, and saw him in the bar drinking with his brothers. I looked at my friend and said OMG I feel so old....it just seems so wrong that he could possible be old enough to drink!

I will be 32 next month and turning 30 didn't bother me and I thought it would. My dh is a couple weeks younger then me and he used those 2 weeks to keep telling me you're 30 and I am still in my 20's. Ha karma was a b**** because he took turning 30 hard!
Now last month my oldest son turned 13, for like 2 months before that I felt like I was in a funk. I was just upset and crabby most of the time....and then it hit me my first born is going to be a teenager OMG! Then, when he did become a teenager I cried LOL I could totally relate to my friend who's son turned 18 in September and I couldn't for the life of me figure out why she was crying and making it out to be such a big deal! Now I do!
