His heart is in the right place. He can cook the basics he could fix a simple meal and if you guide him he can do other stuff.

when you say cook does going to a fast food restaurant or baking a frozen pizza count? LOL kidding, every guy I have been w/ has been able to cook, I honestly wouldn't be able to be w/ someone who couldn't cook the basics, I rather enjoy having a meal cooked for me every now and again.
(and they better be able to grill b/c I love to eat food off the grill, just not actually grill it)

Eric can cook, and he cooks well. He makes a TO DIE FOR spaghetti/pasta sauce. It is fabulous.
But, he is not allowed to touch the oven.... That is MINE. I do all the baking.
WIth both of us working, and I get the night shift 3 days a week... he better cook, or my children would have starved. So hard, not to facepalm some people

He cooks really good and both my boys can cook also. when my children where young I taught them to cook and wash their clothes as I wanted them to be able to take care of their selfs if something happened to their father or myself..that isnt to say they cooked all the time or washed their clothes but they knew how if I was sick or something.

He can cook, but when he does he dirties every dish, utensil, pan, pot in the house.

My guy is a spectacular griller. He can cook other things well. He would definitely do fine for himself if he lived alone.
We had us, we had him, now we have everything.

Mine is also a frozen/boxed food cook. He claims he wants to learn to cook some other things, but he won't look up a recipe or watch how it's done (or even just try). I guess he's waiting for it to just magically come to him.

Hubby comes from a family of cooking men (he has 4 brothers & his dad used to cook) but he's most proficient at redoing leftovers into something else. Not necessarily a good something else...... (although the other day he made a yummy chicken savoy ( a new dish for either of us.)
He would never ever go hungry. What Goes Around, Comes Around
