Those kindnesses are appreciated.
My mother's best friend was a school teacher. When I went to school there were children who honestly might not have but one dress or pathetic shoes. I know there are children who don't have much but with the Salvation Army and the Goodwill, a child can get some clothes for $20 if they shop carefully. Back then children honestly didn't have clothes. My mother made all of mine and my sisters clothes. This friend of my mother's had a child in her classroom with few clothes and no coat. Mom made her a coat and on many occassions this teacher would give this child clothes and she would always just tell the little girl they were from someone who loved her very much. She did this all the way through school. Today this teacher is 93 yrs old, she is in a nursing home with Alzheimers. She had one son and never had any grandchildren. Later when this child was a teen ager and found out who her benefactor was she thought of her as a mom and her children called her Granny. Today she visits the nursing home every week , sometimes more than once. Kindnesses do come back to us.
