Speaking of Turkeys..what did you pay?

I am thrilled in Minneapolis I paid $.49 per pound so hence, both turkeys were less than $10.00 and these are BIG BAD BOYS, and stuck in the fridge but I think, over 12-14 pounds.

At last....my love has come around..

I have a pack of 3 drums, and that was $2.25...then I bought a pack of 2 thighs by honeysuckle white, and those were $3.21

both of which will be reimbursed because I did them as part of my mystery shop on Krogers.

    so in the end FREE

    we are having:

    turkey
    ham

    mash potatoes
    sweet baked potatoes
    asparagus w/ fresh parm cheese
    cranberry sauce
    baked artichokes
    3 bean salad
    corn
    stuffing

and for dessert, I am making:

    Raspberry Chambord Cheesecake
    Pumpkin Pie
    Lemon Meringue Pie

lots of left overs, I'm sure.
2 days from now, tomorrow will be yesterday.

publix had them for .69 lb - my sister got a 30 lb'er for 20 bucks - we always have huge turkey's - I used to tell the kids when they were little that it was an ostrich because they are so huge - one year there was a 36 lb'er

.37 per pound (with a minimum $25 purchase on other groceries). Found out after I bought it that we're not having Thanksgiving at our place but we are having Christmas, so I'll save it for then since it's still frozen.
Dear Lord, please give me the strength to not slap an idiot today......Amen.
