    new printer

I am thinking of replacing my printer and wondering what you reccommend?

I have an epson and my complaints are.......that if one ink cartridge is out it won't print at all.

I like having the colors seperate and I would like one that you can get a generic cartridge for.......also needs to be an all in one. Any suggestions?
    TIA

I am a die hard HP fan. They last forever, have individual cartridges and the ink is really reasonable.

I have a HP photosmart c6280 AIO. I got a really good deal on it at Staples.

We have the HP Photosmart 6280 all-in-one. We love it. It has places for your camera memory sticks, etc. It prints beautifully. I buy my replacement ink cartlidges at walmart at half the price of what they charge at office depot.

You can't go wrong with a HP printer. We have them at our office and mine at home is a HP color laser. You just about can't kill them.

If you find a HP printer that you like - call customer service for HP and ask them if the printer seals off each cartridge separate. What this means is if you are printing something that uses red & black ink it will only draw from those 2 and then it seals them off when it is done with that printing. This enables the printer cartridges to last until you actually use the ink. At my office we have a large format (blueprint size) HP printer and it does that and we hardly ever have to replace the color cartridges since we mostly use black ink.

Forgot to add - we purchased all of our printers directly from HP and saved a few bucks on each and the customer service was great to deal with.
